- Symbolism: He ended his earthly life by being crucified on an X-shaped Cross, which is called “St. Andrew’s Cross” after him

Prayer:
Glorious St. Andrew, you were the first to recognize and follow Jesus. As you led your brother St. Peter and many others to Christ, lead us to Him. Teach us to guide others to Christ out of love and devotion to His service. Help us learn the lesson of the Cross and carry our daily crosses without complaint so they may lead us to Jesus. Amen.
